Before I go on, I want to mention that we now have an Internet E-Mail address! (This is quite expensive, and is the very reason we need donations). This means that if you are a member of America OnLine, AppleLink, BITNet, CompuServe, GENie, MCI Mail, SprintNet, UUCP, or better, yet, the Internet itself, you can send us your questions or comments, or anything else you find us worthy of knowing. The address is as following:
rrose@csos.orst.edu
Please send all comments, if possible, to that addresses.
Histroy Of About This Macintosh...
1.0: We first started working on ATM early last year, towards January. It started out with a dialog box that flashed some information at you in a confusing way for three seconds, then quit.
1.1: Later we added simple "File" and "Edit" menus, and gave the user time to look at it.
1.2: We changed the way the data was organized slightly, and fixed a few bugs with the System version parameter.
1.3: We added Time Manager version, Gestalt Manager Version, and TextEdit version to the list.
1.4: In this version, we gave ATM a new look. With new menus, new organization of information, and two more items: ROM version, and ROM size. We also cleared up some confusion about the Addressing parameter.
1.4.1: This is more of a, "Mini-Release." We only gave it to people who have contributed to 1.1, 1.2, or 1.3. If you have it, you're special!
1.4.5: This version has some vast improvements to the "Macintosh" variable. It also had a print function for the File menu.
1.4.6: This version had some more improvements to the "Macintosh" variable. After talking with Apple for awhile, we managed to squelch the information on defining the newer Macintosh types. As of version 1.4.6, ATM can recogonize the following Macintosh types:
